Course Characteristics:

Situated just outside the town, this is a jumps track of 1 mile and 3 furlongs. It is a right handed (clockwise) course and it is generally flat.

The fences are very stiff and the course is a galloping one. Also with the relatively short run-in it is possible for front runners to poach a lead.

Wincanton operates a three enclosure policy, Premier (£19 - £26), Paddock (£14 - £16) and Course (£6 - £8).

Discounts are available for advance booking and for groups of 16 or more. Accompanied under 16’s are admitted free.

Location:

From the A303 take the B3081 (signposted) to the racecourse, which is located north of the town.

Ease of public transport access: Moderate (Rail to Templecombe where train is met by courtesy bus)
